Rummel Christmas

We drove up to Nappanee on Alex's birthday and spent the long weekend there.  On Saturday, Mimi made a cake for Alex's birthday and he opened gifts.   Then we went to a 40th wedding anniversary party for Andy's aunt and uncle.  When we came back, we did our family Christmas.  That way the boys would have lots of time to play with all their new toys before Santa came on Christmas!  Andy's parents hosted the larger Rummel-side Christmas on Christmas Eve, but I dont have pics of that craziness.  :)  By the end of the night they were both asking when everyone was going to go home!  They'd had a long weekend of present opening, gift giving, playing with uncles, and they were about tuckered out.  :)   But the homesickness was put off for a bit by Santa's gifts the next morning (tractor pictures at the end).  Then we packed it all up and headed to Winamac for a late Christmas lunch with the Doll side.  The boys always have fun playing with the cousins, but they were ready to go home so we didn't linger too long.

 Happy Birthday Alex!

Alex turns 5!

Alex turned 5 just before Christmas.  We let him open his gifts a little early.  His favorites are the fire truck and a watch.

A week before Christmas Erin started walking!  She'd been taking a few steps by herself for a number of weeks.  But one day, she took off across the kitchen, turned around and did it again.  And she's been going nonstop since.  :)

JCP pictures

We had some family pictures taken the beginning of December.   They aren't the best, but not too bad either.  Adam tends to cry alot when new people are around, so that's why most of his pictures are teary eyed or red faced.   And if Adam's crying, so is little sister.  Alex, on the other hand, did great!  He thought having his picture taken was a blast.  Maybe next year we'll just have someone take a bunch of pictures at home or at grandma's house.  :)
