Mom came on Friday and helped me get some yard work done. Alex was all too willing to help after nap time. He's using my sprayer to "spray" all the weeds. Last week, he also "sprayed" the house... every flower bed... the grass... Puddy's porch... lawn chairs...... pretty much everything he could! Adam just enjoyed sitting on the blanket and watching cars and trucks go by. (They are still working on making SR 25 into four lanes, and so we have a lot of dump trucks and other large equipment drive by regularly.) Needless to say, we all had a good time getting out in the sun and fresh air!

Swing Swing

Here's a few pictures of us out in the warm weather this past week. It felt so good to get out in the sand and play! As usual, Alex got right to work mixing sand and various findings into his bucket. Adam got to enjoy the new texture (and taste!) of leaves and sand. I can't wait for the grass to grow so he can get fist fulls of it!

After we got home from our weekend of travel to the grandparents, we came home to warmer weather! We couldn't wait to get outside and enjoy it. We even took Alex's table and had our snack outside. To my suprise, Alex wanted to wear his hat, which he never wanted to do before! Maybe it was because Adam was wearing his hat too. Adam didn't seem to mind wearing it one bit! Adam also seems to have gotten over his fear of Puddy. He used to cry and shake a bit when we'd bring the dog inside. But now, he laughs and smiles even when he sees him out the window! Adam is sitting up so much better these days. Today, I left Adam in a room playing (sitting up) and I told Alex to watch him while I put away some clothes. When I came back, Alex was standing with his legs apart right behind Adam, hands on the ready. If Adam was going to fall, Alex was doing his best to make sure he stopped it! What a good big brother! :)

Weekend at Rummel's

After our visit at the Jackson's, we couldn't resist traveling the half hour to see the Rummel's too! Alex got to go see the cows milked and help Andy take the dogs for walks. These pictures are of Adam and Grandma getting to spend some time together!

Our visit to the Jackson's

Dad picked me and the boys up on his way home from Indy last week, and we stayed a few days at the Jackson's. Here's a few pictures from our visit.

----sorry, these are out of order and a few you have to turn your head to see!

Alex is helping feed the cats. He takes it very seriously!

Adam was just happy to be there

Alex liked to get Grandpa's tools out and work on just about anything.

In this picture, his hammer is stuck! So what do we need to get it out?--

---Another hammer of course! (it actually did work, believe it or not!)

February

Here's a quick update on February...
The cold and snow kept us inside (just like the rest of the winter!). Adam is quickly growing and likes to sit up or stand up in his excersaucer. Alex plays with Adam more and more. Alex is talking alot more too. He's repeating many words after just hearing them once! One of my favorite little quirks is when he says words that begin in "s". He puts the "s" sound on the end of the word instead of the beginning. So snow is pronounced "know-s" and snack is "nack-s" and snot is "not-s" !!! It's so fun to hear him say it. :) One of these days he's going to get it though!
Adam's favorite plaything is still Alex. He just lights up when Alex is around and giggles at the most random little thing that Alex does. He doesn't care (yet) when Alex takes his toys...he's just glad he has the attention of his big brother. And lately, Alex has randomly been giving Adam hugs and sharing toys. So the brotherly love is growing both ways!

Alex is making pizza!
However, by the time the oven was warm enough to put them in, he'd eaten most of the toppings off!

Adam doesn't like being on his belly. He rolls over occasionally, but when he does,
it's from his belly to his back!
